My name is Spandana, and I grew up in India where I call two cities–Delhi and Kolkata–home. I decided to major in economics, after I took a class on game theory at the Experience Yale-NUS weekend. This summer I worked at IFMR, a think tank, researching the financial behavior of women below the poverty line in rural India, which reinforced my love for the subject. When I am not solving economics problem sets, I can be found editing The Octant (Yale-NUS’s student-run publication), dancing or trying to discover the best cup of bubble tea in Singapore. I also enjoy talking about economics classes at Yale-NUS, brainstorming capstone ideas and listening to suggestions for the major, so please feel free to contact me!
